Timeline of Abigail Adams Life
Here's a simple timeline of Abigail Adams' life:
* January 29, 1706 Abigail's father, William Smith is born. He dies in 1783.
* 1721 Abigail's mother, Elizabeth Quincy is born. She dies in 1775.
* November 11, 1744 Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
* October 25, 1764 Marries John Adams. (He was born in 1735.)
* 1765 Her first daughter, Nabby is born
* 1767 Her first son, John Quincy is born
* 1768 Her daughter Susanna is born
* 1770 Her daughter Susanna dies
* 1770 Her son, Charles is born
* 1772 Her son, Thomas is born
* 1774 Her husband, John goes to Philadelphia to serve as a delegate to the First Continental Congress leaving Abigail home alone with her children for many years.
* 1778 Her husband, John leaves for England
* 1783 Abigail joins her husband in England
* 1787 Abigail and John Adams buy a large farm named, "Peacefield"
* March 4, 1797 Becomes the First Lady
* October 28, 1818 Abigail dies in her home in Quincy, Massachusetts
