Wilton Stand Up Gingerbread House

The aroma of ginger and molasses wafted through my home as homemade gingerbread baked in my oven.  This year we used a 3-D Wilton stand up house pan to make a free standing house.  I didn't miss the frustration of trying to stick together the sides and roof before the fun of adding the candy.  As soon as the cake cooled it was ready for decorating.  I used this same cake mold to make the Three Little Pigs house and the Three Bears house that Goldilocks visited for birthday cakes for my two youngest girls.  Next year I'll think we'll try making a haunted house with it for Halloween.  So fun.  So easy.  So memorable.
